Peer Review anyone?

Hi! Would anyone be interested in looking at each others shops and giving some ideas to help boost growth? I am a new etsian and I am looking for all the help I can get. Anyone else? Thanks! Sarah

Re: Peer Review anyone?

Hi Sarah! That's my daughter's name, too. :)

Anyway, I checked out your store and one thing I noticed is that you could probably crop your pics to better show off your inventory. Good pics are the best advertisement you will ever have. I just recently rephotographed my inventory and I'm still working on them to try to make them better (any suggestions you might have would be great).

If you're trying to bring in views (and more views means more sales), Twitter really gets you noticed. There are a few Twitter trees out there with other members retweeting your posts. I've noticed that the items I post to a Twitter tree always gets a lot of views. However, a Twitter tree requires that you also retweet your fellow sellers' posts (fair is fair) so it can be a little time consuming.

The more items you have in your shop, the more chances you have of catching the eye of a prospective buyer. Remember, there are thousands upon thousands of items for sale on Etsy and it's a bit of a competition to make a buyer notice you over all the other sellers out there. As you build your inventory, you'll notice that more and more people check out your store.

Let me know if I can offer any more help!

Hi Shannon

I honestly can say that I don't see anything wrong with your shop. Your pictures are great, prices are reasonable. I really love your shop. Your earrings are beautiful and unique. I really love the wooden celtic earrings you had. They are absolutely lovely.

Jackie

P.S. I just had to add you to my circle.

Re: Peer Review anyone?

Shannon,

Thank you so much! The photos have been my ongoing battle. They are better than my first photos, but I still have a LONG way to go. I have been reading up on here for ideas about making them better. I am going to post some more photos later tonight so I will try to crop the new ones and work on going back in to fix the older ones.
I have not tried Twitter yet. I am currently on Facebook and Pinterist, so Twitter will be my next big project. I am a bit of a slow goer with new social media sights. It is great to have all of these free forms of advertising though!
Currently, I am working on filling my shop up and I am excited to have a much bigger selection. Do you have any tips for getting noticed for jewelry? I know there are SO MANY jewelry artists on here. I will work on my photos, fill up my shop for a bigger selection, I have joined a number of groups and I am consistantly favoriting other artists and pinning people on Pinterist (and letting them know). Am I on the right track?
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your shop is beautiful and you obviously have a great grasp of what makes an awsome site.

Re: Peer Review anyone?

Thank you. As I said before, when it comes to jewelry, you need to do something different than the rest to get noticed. I don't know what, but maybe your marketing skills or word of mouth too. Have you tried selling at craft fairs or maybe at a local store? I hope this helps.
