i think you are on the right track, my only bit of advice would be to have your first picture be the one that pops the most, since it is the picture that comes up win searches. for example, in this listing,
http://www.etsy.com/listing/68774802/sweet-heart-green-quartz-earrings the picture you are using is really muted, and it doesnt stand out, where as the fourth picture you have in that listing does. i think when you have a great first picture you are more likely to draw someone in. especially in searches where jewelry is so over-saturated. you have to work constantly with pics making them just right and all. i am still working on mine, but i have come a looonnnggg way! hopefully that at least gives you one idea to go with maybe. :)
