Anything under the sun

This is the lounge area where we can feel free to just drop by and talk about anything under the sun =]

I'm having a nice cup of tea now, bought this new brand of teabags I've never tried before, I've noticed that there is no more oily bits floating in the tea, used to have them when I made tea. I wonder if it's the tea bags or the water quality. I have stopped drinking tea for some years, just switched from coffee back to tea now. Loving it when I can make a clean cup of tea =]

Re: Anything under the sun

That's interesting; what kind of tea have you been enjoying more recently?

There's a brand my parents purchased in recent years that did something like that... I can't recall what brand it was, though. We usually keep a selection of herbal teas in stock at my home. My partner and I have been particularly enjoying the "Stash" brand licorice tea, Celestial Seasonings' blueberry and cherry options, and Pukka's chai option.

This week has been so eventful. I don't even know where to start. Mostly a good sort of eventful, though! (:

Re: Anything under the sun

Good evening @philosophiacreations It's a blend made up of a combination of Kenyan and Assam teas. The Kenyan teas give distinct flavour and rich colour, and the Assam teas give the blend a good, brisk strength. You know, I use a huge mug making tea and I keep wondering if I should put 2 teabags in to make it. I'm tempted but I know if I do and I like it then I will not be able to go back to using just one teabag =D

I drink green tea too, I like jasmine =]

Re: Anything under the sun

Ahh, I apologize, I could have sworn that I'd replied to this already. Anyone else having the issue of losing posts when login sessions sporadically expire? :(

But that sounds really interesting, and I'll have to keep watch for something similar to try myself. I find that I really gravitate to mild, fruity and spicy teas. Then I say that, but surely if I thought harder there would be exceptions. Green tea is a staple in my house as well. Haven't had a jasmine blend in years, but you've reminded me that I purchased some several months ago & evidently had promptly forgotten about it. (:

@philosophiacreations I wonder how I've missed your post, never saw it until now = |

Yes I think I've had a post that was missing, I was sure that I've replied but it wasn't there when I went back to that thread. I just thought maybe I forgot to click on "Reply" after typing, I wouldn't know if it was an error but there are glitches here and there, red banners etc, I wouldn't be surprised if it was an error.

Re: Anything under the sun

Our beautiful new rescue kitty had to have an unexpected surgery last Friday when our vet realized her teeth were in really bad condition. So she's recovering from that and has her post-op appointment on Friday. She's doing alright, though. Playing, eating voraciously and taking her medication without much difficulty. But I'm looking forward to seeing her totally healed. It's hard to not worry about her; she's so tiny (evidently about 2.5kg, even though she could be several years old).

Beyond that, it's been a really eventful week. I think I'm going back to school for another degree. I've been out for about ten years... it's sort of strange to fathom. I still have a couple months to do research and decide for certain.

I hope kitty will recover and gain more weight under your care, she sounds like a very cute cat =]

Have you decided what degree you will be studying for? That's an exciting good few years to look forward to =]

Re: Anything under the sun

I didn't have the ice cream yesterday, I had watermelon, they had red and yellow slices in a pack. I believe it was the first time I had yellow watermelon, it was unexpectedly good, even better than the red ones. The red ones were not sweet, the yellow ones were sweet and also firmer texture wise.

There is nothing to talk about under the sun today... the sun has gone hiding today.

Re: Anything under the sun

@pigeonplumtree It's still gloomy today, sun is still hiding.

Last night the moon was very bright though, round and bright hanging up there like a lollipop.

Is that the harvest moon or are we too early yet?

Re: Anything under the sun

@pigeonplumtree yes I think yesterday was the Mid-Autumn Festival, probably why the full moon. Some years ago, I've seen the biggest moon ever, can't remember what month it was but it was huge, round, bright and very low to ground level. I was standing in the middle of the road, rows of houses on both side. The moon was just at the end of the road, almost at eye level, I can still remember the scene and the atmosphere, I think the memory will stay with me forever.

Re: Anything under the sun

I haven't gotten to observe the moon or the sun in a few days; it's been pretty consistently overcast. But I thought I saw that the full moon will be tomorrow, and there are clear skies today. So hopefully there'll be a chance to out tomorrow & observe it. My partner and I have been wanting to try our hand at some night sky photography, so maybe there'll be opportunity for that as well. Our fingers are crossed that the conditions continue to improve.
Otherwise there's very little going on for me. I wound up canceling my promoted listings with the roll out of the new format. Not sure if I'll ever reactivate it; there's a lot to weigh.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week. (:

Re: Anything under the sun

Full bright moon again tonight, it's quite beautiful actually, with clouds like cotton candy floating around =]

I have 300 expired listings now, can't believe I have so many.

I do believe that it is cloudy outside, but I'll have to take a look.  I love to look at a pretty moon.

@pigeonplumtree The sky was almost clear last night too, the moon was so bright that the sky was lit up, with cotton candy like clouds floating around.
