Anyone who wants to swap cards should contact each other with private convos to exchange mailing information.

It would probably be a good idea to put "Card Swap" in the subject line of those convos...so it doesn't get lost with any other messages...

Just a thought, would anyone (more computer saavy than me!) have any idea how to make a template or whatever with everyone's business card so we might just print off the applicable (knitting, jewelry, sewing, pottery, etc) page or cards as we need them? As opposed to keeping stacks of each other's cards.
Just brainstorming here, Ladies.

Hi Barbara, I appreciate the brainstorming!!! :) And I'm planning on starting another thread for THAT purpose actually :)

That's certainly a good idea, but for myself I would think that that would put the burden of supplying the printing paper/cardstock and the ink themselves on the members. I would say that it would be up to the individual members how they want to help with the promotions. There is also the issue of graphics/logos etc... I would just as soon send my business cards to anyone who is willing to send them out :) and distribute any that I'm receiving on my end...

I'll try and move this to the new thread... if not I'll copy and paste it to be continued there :)... I'm certainly open to any and all ideas anyone might have to promote our shops! In the end it really comes down to what each individual is willing and able to do for the others. I've already offered to print temporary cards for those members who don't have any at this time...

I have 2 shops -
www.amzcreations.etsy.com - which has crochet and knit items.. I am in the process of putting up new items - bags, cowls, scarves, baby stuff and more !

I am very interested in this idea and look forward to making it a virtual swap, just coz I feel its easier for a customer to click on a link and decide if they are interested or not.

I like the virtual swap idea Ami... the only "problem" I see is that there are so many people who don't even KNOW about this site! :(... How sad is THAT?!? But I'm gonna leave it up to everyone else on how they want to do this... and how far they want to go with this :). Some of us need more help than others, too...

My own goal is to get more people to know about this site... I'm gonna make copies of everyone's business cards - as many as I can fit on one sheet of paper, and pass those out as well, at work, gym, etc...

I think for beginners we can scan the business cards and put them on one page. how about we all share a soft copy of our own business card with everyone here?
And do we have a blog / newsletter in the works ? that can showcase works of all members here?

I'll have to wait until mine get here - should be any day now! Then I'll scan one, but I don't know how to include it in a post :( will have to look into that. Sending it via message to everyone is too time-consuming... sigh.

I also noticed we have some new members! Welcome! :) I am still waiting for a lot of the business cards people have told me they'll send my way... Only have about 3 so far :(... I'll ship an order out tomorrow morning so those three will get put into that package... :)

I just had another idea... whenever you can, if you have other members you swap with, send along their info (getting their approval first, of course)...

Example: I am willing to swap with anyone so feel free to pass along my info to any other sellers you know of that want to swap. Ideally they should then contact me directly or else include a brief note when they send me their cards...
