Soy Wax Hot Throw Question - Help!

I've been trying to create the perfect candle for almost a month and keep having issues. I've tried both GW464 and GW444 and while the cold throw is good I can't seem to get a good hot throw from either of them. I bought the wax and fragrance oil from the same online company. I'm using a 3" circular glass container and a 3x3" square glass container. I've tried ECO 10, 12 and 14. ECO 14 caused too much wick mushrooming so that one is out. I double wicked the 3x3 square once and had an OK hot throw. I've upped the fragrance oil from 6% to 8% but haven't noticed much of a difference. I heat the wax to 185 and add the fragrance oil at 180. I heat the glasses and pour the GW464 at 170 and GW444 at 143 degrees to create the smoothest tops. Any pointers for a great hot throw would be "GREATLY" appreciated. :)

Re: Soy Wax Hot Throw Question - Help!

Hi!, Have you tried adding Vybar to your soy? I find it works for me, it adds structure and helps release the scent when the wax heats up. You don't need much at all the ratio is approx 1% or 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. per pound of wax. You could also add parafin wax to make a blended candle. This way you get the best of both worlds.
