My name is Nerisa and I'm a cancer survivor and amputee of the left leg. I was diagnosed with bone cancer (osteogenics sarcoma) at the ripe age of 10. I went through many surgeries and 10 months of chemo therapy. It was a grueling and painful year of treatment but I pulled through. At 17 and cancer free, I ran into complications with my left leg caused by my numerous operations as a child from hr cancer, through the help of my family and doctors we decided it would be for the best to amputate my leg. It was an incredibly difficult decision to make, but looking back I can admit it was for the best. I am healthy and active today, work a full time job, tend to my demanding fat cats and loving boy friend, and now I "etsy" it up too!
