Using the Buyer Referral Tool to help your business

Ever notice that "earn $100" on the top of your Etsy.com page? That's a buyer referral tool, and how it works is that when you refer new buyers to Etsy, they get $5 to spend and for every two new friends you bring to Etsy, you get $10 up to $100. Win/win!

Some savvy sellers have been using this promotion to help promote sales in their shops by encouraging new buyers to redeem their $5 as a credit in their shop. You can include this messaging in your shop announcement, social media or blog. Not only do you benefit by getting some extra money to spend on Etsy yourself, it's a great incentive to bring new buyers into your shop and introduce them to the awesome world of Etsy.

It sounds like some people have it on the top of their screen, others have it under 'My Shop' (I think that was it......or else it was 'Your Account'.
Some can also see it on their shop dashboard.
But maybe those that have it, just have it in all 3 of those places?

It's not anywhere in my shop and I've gone through the regional settings with my default as 'everywhere'.

Is there somewhere else I should look for this?

When I set my location to Canada, it showed up at the top of the page.

Currently, I have my settings set to English (US), $ United States Dollar, Canada and can see it. Changing Everywhere to Canada did the trick for me.

If I include a link in my listings, does it matter which of these it is? Is the second one 'me' trying to collect $$$ for myself? Because that's not what I want to do.

I think what you need to include anywhere is your individual link that is in the box when you go to the invite page.
