Anybody ever bought from Eddies?

Hi everyone :)

I'm wondering if anybody ever bought from Eddies' display store? I got a consignment offer and I'm looking for a display for this lady that won't cost too much for me to give to her. She didn't want anything handmade because all of her other pieces of display are all store bought.

Did you like the service at Eddies? Was the shipping very expensive ? Did it took a while to get to you or was it quite fast?

I had never heard of Eddie's before you posted :)

Looked around their site, and the products look good, but why wouldn't they have a shipping calculator? That seems odd.
They do say in their FAQ: "On the website, during the checkout process, there is an option to be notified in advance if freight will exceed a certain cost. Many people have taken advantage of that feature. We are happy to calculate and confirm the freight cost before shipping any order to ensure that the customer is satisfied with the total cost before we send out the order."
That last sentence makes it sound as though you can ask for a shipping quote before finalization of your order - so hopefully that is the case.

It might be best to try to find a business locally if you are looking for something fast?

Hi Holly!

I don't know many shops that offers what I am looking for at a fair price in Montreal, that is why I wanted to go with Eddies. I had heard good reviews from fellow Etsians so I thought I'd give it a try. But yes, this part about shipping is a bummer for me, I really want to know before hand to be able to set my prices for my customer.

I have bought from them before, I only order what I can't get closer though because I did find their shopping high. I'm in Ontario. They do have some unique display pieces.

Brenda, thank you so much for your help! I'm really sad to hear about the shipping though... The type of display I'm looking for is hard to find, but now I'm not so sure I would go with Eddies because of the shipping. Thanks a bunch!
