Options other than Picnik?

hi,

Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question. Let me know if it's not.

I currently use Picnik to re-size and edit my photos to post on my Etsy site. Picnik will soon be closing, so I'm wondering what other people are using to edit their photos, other than paying a lot of $ for Photoshop. I'm also wondering if anyone has some recommendations for a good program for designing the shop banner, or a good tutorial. I've looked at the ones on the Etsy thread, and not really impressed with them.

Any answers would be much appreciated!

thanks!
Anna

Re: Options other than Picnik?

I went with Photoshop Elements -- definitely cheaper than the full version of Photoshop. I think the latest version (10) is available for just under $100, but you could probably find 7, 8 or 9 even cheaper. I think I got a $20 rebate when I bought 8 a while back. I remember being a little reluctant to spring for it at first, but it has been so worthwhile. Makes editing so much easier and faster.
