Submitting to Sampler Boxes

Has anyone had much success going this route? I submitted to a small Indie Sampler package that goes out monthly but their instagram/etc reach seems to be smaller than my own so I am not sure if it will be much help publicity wise.

I am interested in experiences if you have them!

I'd never heard of them, so I did a quick search here on the forums and then went to their website:

I guess you just need to be careful when sending off merch to this place or any of the bazillion blogs that ask for merch before they'll feature you.

There were typos on the Sampler website. That might seem minor, but to me it screams "unprofessional."

They did a blog interview thing on me and my shop but they linked to the wrong etsy profile/shop so I haven't had too much traffic, just a handful of instagram followers (maybe 5-7).

I'll let you know how it goes after they mailings go out and we see if the samples bring people in.

End result: It didn't lead to a single sale. Unless you produce something in multiples with a very low cost I wouldn't go this route for promotion.

ugh. that's awful. They linked to the wrong shop? Super unprofessional. I hope that as they grow they work all of the kinks out - for both the sellers and the customers.
