Email Communication with customers

I wanted to share a great tool I use to inform customers where will be showing, local galleries they can find my work as well as directing them to my etsy site. I am still working on my web presence (do not have blog or facebook like page as f yet) but I found mailchimp (http://mailchimp.com/) a great way to comunicate and it is free to use.

It is easy to navigate the site and put together a email with all the information you need to inform customer. You can copy or upload your email contacts (I keep mine in a excel file with the following columns; first name, last name, email, what show/year they signed up (or if they are friend or relative) and then street address if I have one.

Mailchmp lets you design the email with pictures, colors etc. they also give you stats on your email blast. For example if you send out a email to 100 people, it will show you how many of those opened the email, and if they click a link what link they clicked.

Here is a sample f a email I sent last year

Hope you find this helpful!

Thanks for the info Jayne. That would certainly make it easy to keep track of info while sharing it with others.
