Attention, Artists of Buffalo, NY! I am a curator seeking out artists interested in doing a commission for Hotel Henry, a renovation of the old insane asylum known previously as the Richardson-Olmsted Complex on Forest Avenue.
There are 88 rooms, each serving as an opportunity to bring local character to the project. The designers are looking for the following:
-Local landscape/architecture/culture of Western NY
-Buffalo Architecture Center Nature
-Possibly artwork referencing time period of the late 1800's
-A range of work from abstract/atmospheric/blurred to representational that must work with the interior finishes.
