Weekly Goals: 29th - 4th November

Hello and welcome to the weekly goal thread!

Each week we shall posting a new thread for you all to pop along and tell us your goals for the coming week.

We hope that by setting and writing down goals it will help give you focus and motivation to tackle some of those tasks you might have been putting off.

Tips for your goals;
> Be precise - By using amounts you'll know exactly when you have achieved the goal, and can take complete satisfaction from having achieved it.
> Make it achievable - It's important to set goals that you can achieve. If a goal is too large, then it can seem that you are not making progress towards it. Keeping goals small and incremental.

My list is going to be a little shorter this week, i'm in the meaty bit of packing now so i want to get that out of the way so i can focus on all of my shops. Seeing i'll have nothing to clean or dust as it will all be in boxes :)

[0/3] Tidy up my shop policies and descriptions SH, WP, COI
[0/2] Create about page for WP & COI ([ . ] get amy to do hers!)
[ . ] Organise some new designs for christmas for WP
[ . ] Catch up on boot camp (i'm terribly behind, sorry partner! :( )

I have half term this week but feel I will still be more productive than last week when I was ill for most of it. Surprisingly sprang back for a book launch and a BNR though!

Hello! I joined British sellers on Etsy yesterday and thought I would dive in and be active as promised :) My weeks goals are:

- Plan what extra cards I need to have enough stock for Christmas
- Print "London Poem" / Twas the night & Christmas labels
- Research & start design for Thames river print
- Work out how many more envelopes / cards I need for the Christmas print + order
- Plan market stall layout - what else do I need?
- Start commission
- Start an annual plan for the year (when to design / print for xmas etc)

I wasn't sure what the [0/2] meant? Probably really obvious!

It's great to be able to share this with others. Working on your own can be tough some weeks!

Hello Rachel! Welcome to the team! I'm so envious of you and your letterpress...i haven't used one since uni and I miss it so much.

For me the [0/3] means out of 3, I have 3 shops which i've abbreviated...Just helps me see clearly how much i've done. For example if you wanted to list 7 items, you'd start with 0/7, and increase the 0 as you go on. If by the end of the week you've managed 7 out of the 7 (which we would all hope :D) you'd type 7/7 or DONE :D

Everyone manages their list differently - theres no right or wrong! :)

Rain - don't worry partner, I've didn't get started on last weeks boot camp either!

My short list:

1) create 5 new digital products
2) list the above
3) blog the above
4) blog my new digital papers

I want to do some sewing too, but leaving it off the list, and will do it at the end if time.

OH yes! very important leigh! - do the hmrc send you the forms automatically or do i need to request them to be posted?!

Rain - they sent mine automatically, but if you haven't been sent them I guess you should contact them.

Rain - have you registered as self-employed? I haven't received any forms; I do mine online.

I registered as self employed in March and they wanted me to complete a self assessment form within 3 months of signing up. So I've done this years. But I do know that you need to register yourself as self employed, then get codes to log in to fill the online tax form in. It's easiest if you just ring them, as I was going around in circles trying to find the right thing on their website. I hate talking to real people when all you want to do is click a button.

Ok I'm late in the game - it's Tuesday already, but the advantage is: I can write my list with some things already done! So I look super efficient…

So some tasks already done and others begun. If I don't get the mosaics done today or tomorrow morning, they won't get done at all as I no longer have somewhere to do them at my own flat so presently at mum & dad's working in the garage. It's quite a long list this week but it's also half term so hoping I'll manage it all!

Hmm, i'll get on the hmrc's case.

My paper work is very organised! Been doing it every month like a good girl. At least i THINK i've been doing it correctly. Never had to fill out the self assessment forms. Just going to be a little odd as i've got to split it with my sister. Sure i'll figure it out!

Been a busy bee today - Lots of my to-do list has been ticked off, although I've only done the designs, not the finishing & polishing. Have to wait 24 hours before I can do that though. Updated:
