What Tags and Titles Should I Use?

After November's Meet Ups were about getting ideas on tags and titles, I have created this thread so that you can post your items to get more tags and titles ideas from other sellers.

Please post any item you would like to get some help with and we will all reply to you via this thread!

Happy Tagging!

Re: What Tags and Titles Should I Use?

Hello! I couldn't make the november meet ups unfortunately. I'd love some advice on tags and titles, I think it's hard to describe your own work sometimes. I am posting this screen print as an example. If anyone has any ideas that would be great.
Many thanks!!!!

Re: What Tags and Titles Should I Use?

Hi Vicky! Love your Tiger screenprint 😄

I'd try using more phrases rather than single word tags. You could try things like "graphic art" "illustration print" "animal illustration" "cat poster" "funny poster" "typography poster" etc and whatever you think is the most relevant tags also match these exactly in your title, with the most relevant at the beginning. We wrote a post for the blog which might help a bit (and make a bit more sense! sorry my brain is a bit frazzled!)

Re: What Tags and Titles Should I Use?

Hiya,
I just put up a couple of new listings (basically the same thing but different colours) and I think I've captured the essence ("bracelet"...) but would love some fresh eyes. 🙂
If anyone has ideas for what I can put in the description as well, that would be lovely. I'm rubbish at this.

Thanks!

Re: What Tags and Titles Should I Use?

Hi Victoria!

I just had a quick look at your tags and I think it would be a good idea to use 'statement jewelry' and as Hello Dodo said repeat the tags in the title.

Also take a look at people that are making similar items that appear on the first page of the product search and get ideas from their descriptions and tags. Hope that makes sense!

Re: What Tags and Titles Should I Use?

Thanks. 🙂

I've never actually figured out what "statement" jewellery is so I've been reluctant to use it, but I'll add it in. 🙂
I'll have a look at other people's stuff as well. Good idea!

Re: What Tags and Titles Should I Use?

Hi all, this is a piece that I get low views on, but I think is one of my best items

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/158382712/large-vintage-italian-pottery?ref=shop_home_active

any tags that spring to mind to boost views, think I want to push its sculptural properties rather than its original function,

any help would be great!
