Does anyone ship items in gift-style boxes that are intended to house the item long-term? I have a few personalized pieces that are intended to be heirlooms, and currently I'm just doing the "bubble wrap and peanuts" packaging route. I'd like to start selling them in a nicer box that the buyer can store the ornaments in ling-term when they're not on the tree, but I'm having a hard time locating a cost-effective solution to filling the empty space in the box. I've seen spray-foam used, but it isn't very pretty, and today I found a thread online for making custom-cut Kaizen foam inserts, but that seems both expensive and time-consuming when you're considering a few hundred items shipped each Christmas. I'm open to suggestions!
