At the moment I'm reading Sunset Song by LG Gibbon. It's for people heavily into Scottish brogue and stream-of-consciousness. It's interesting but not a light read, I'd say!

I am re-reading the classics again and currently it is Jules Vernes' 20K Leagues Under The Sea.

The last time I read this....I was probably a teenager....decades ago....this time the experience of reading it is somewhat different but still enjoyable...

A new up and coming author just published her second book, To Miss The Stars. Her first book is a fairy tale, The Treasure of Ravenwood. Both are really good!

I highly recommend The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear by Walter Moers! It's my favourite book ever, but it's a bit of a marmite book, you either love it or hate it! It's absolutely bizarre and at times quite ridiculous but I absolutely love it.

I'm currently reading through the Flavia de Luce novels. Some are better than others, but I would recommend the first, "Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie".

I just finished The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde....Depressing.....and am now starting to read Jules Verne's Journey to The Centre of the Earth....

East of the Sun by Julia Gregson. I love reading about other times and places.

The Perfume Collector by Kathleen Tessaro was pretty good too.

Currently reading a collection of stories by HG Wells... I am at The Time Machine at the moment....Good reading so far...

I finished "Delicious!" by Ruth Reichl a couple of weeks ago! Loved, loved, loved it! I really didn't want it to end!

I too, have read "The Perfume Collector" and "The Thirteenth Tale" and would also recommend them both!

I wish these threads had a "Reply to....." like in the forums.

I highly recommend Barb Lieberman's third book, Message on the Wind. It is a great book!

I'm a fantasy/fiction lover, so I love the Witches of the East End by Melissa De La Cruz. I also like the Leven Thumps books by Obert Skye.

Howl's Moving Castle, by Diana Wynne Jones. Highly, highly recommend. :D Love it so much. Probably my favourite book of all time. :)

I just finished up the fantasy series "Mistborn" by Brandon Sanderson. Now I'm flying through "Eleanor and Park" by Rainbow Rowell. Both of them are incredible in their own ways. I recommend them!

Next on the list is "Uprooted" by Naomi Novik, I'm pretty excited about it.

Received the invite ages ago but only now visiting the group.

I would love to have my own copy of THE DIVINE COMEDY.

Now I'm reading the middle books of the Elizabeth George's Inspector Lynley's mystery series. It can be read in any order but the books which has been missing (finally got it at a box sale last week) details the history of the main part of the inspector's life. It's like really getting to know the person.
