Im going to start with a set of my jars made it to the Home & Living main image and my views are crazy!! Im in shock my picture is there! Like I cannot believe it!! lol

Now if it could include some sales! ha ha!

I dont want to post in the main forum but, I had to share with someone! :D

How about the 'new look'? I personally like it and not worried about my banner. If it converts more sales Im all for it! Guess we'll have to see what the testing spits out in the end. ha ha

Blogs coming along good, been posting at least once a week! Still no other participants in the sketch challenge but I'm thinking I'll keep at it until the end up march and if still nothing, give it up. :/

I like my banner, but if they go for a new look I'm sure I'll get used to it. I usually don't worry too much about what Etsy is trying out. lol

I dont worry either. They arent going to make/keep a change that tanks sales! lol Money is their bottom line.

Even with all the 'BS' I have faith Etsy will not remove our banners they are just being reworked and not in this round of testing. I find it hard to believe they advocate branding so much just to wipe it all out here.

Either way if it increases sales Im just fine with it. I'll improvise on branding in my store. :D

The boyfriend came home today with a new mac AND an Intuos tablet!!! Ive been wanting both! My wrists are so bad, the tablet will help tremendously with my retouching and graphics.

I recently realized that I have been searching for an ecommerce provider for at least a 1-1/2 years! I've reviewed some just by reading, some I did the free trails, some I had even set up and paid for shops only to drop the service. I feel like I could write a short book on pros and cons for many of them. I was beginning to think there is something wrong with my brain. But I read a posted comment where someone else has had the same problem. So today I feel vindicated:) I'm not alone.

I'm finally on Bigcommerce (just before their price increase!). My one priority this weekend is to load my slide show in and at least 30 products. I don't expect to make sales for a while but it's a start. I plan to make my blog the primary promoting vehicle which is why it is so important.

There are so many platforms I can see it hard to choose! ha ha I always knew I do either woo or WP commerce because I already use WordPress. Ive had a website since 2006. Ive had my WP since 2010. I find many of the commerce platform have too many limitations for me personally.

I'm slowly re-evaluating my soc network efforts but this time based upon hopefully better info & where I can actually test something out. So today (which was not on my schedule BTW), I tested stats for hits from Wanelo. Etsy forum chat was all over the place on where the info shows or if it shows, such as stats, Direct Traffic, no rel= in the url, Blah, Blah Blah. Nothing definitive.

So I did a test: Logged out of my Etsy acct; logged into Wanelo; clicked on one of my items. Logged back into Etsy. The view registered under stats as Wanelo and added a count to the item. So it is possible to actually track traffic from Wanelo.

I claimed my store on Wanelo about 2 months ago and had only one hit which was at the beginning. At first I spent a lot of time loading and creating those 9-item story boards. I know that it really takes time to build soc network presence. But I'm beginning to think that this should be coupled with knowing if your target market is really there--or if you have a product that may really appeal to the demographics of a particular soc site.

It's really difficult or maybe impossible to stay on top of using soc network sites to which I'm finally, hopefully, learning to be smarter about it. Just as I am doing a lot research on how to build my blog to drive traffic to my commerce site (which is what I'm suppose to really be working on today!!!)

That's my Saturday thoughts. I'm off to do what I was suppose to do today. Hope everyone else is more successful at getting their Saturday plans accomplished. LOL. (Wonder if I have time for a Margarita?)

Social media is something you need to test and see what works. You have to 'try' them on sometimes. I think Instagram is great for anyone, its growing and pictured based.

I claimed my store months back too but Im not very active there. I do well on Pinterest so I focus on that. I just cant keep up. haha

Ive seen Wanelo in my stats.

I feel for those that dont know it and are new. Ive been on social media for over a decade so its easier for me. Same thing with SEO, Ive been studying and testing SEO for about 6 years.

I need to post too! lol I just did a prom/family type shoot so I'll blog that, I have to finish the pictures first...
