I am new to Etsy. I just opened my shop ten days ago and I'm still getting over this lump in my throat. This monumental step for me is very overwhelming but I am enjoying being in the company of other newcomers.
I have been chewing on the idea of blogging. I used to have a food blog when I lived in South America and was actually featured in a well known food/diy/decor blog. That was nice. Now I'm tackling this business venture and I really want to make it work. Which is why I thought of starting a blog and getting my name out there. I know it works.
I have read all your posts and am also a Wordpress fan. I will be starting of with the free version for now due to financial constraints and plan to purchase a domain with them. So far the Virtue theme has caught my eye. Hopefully, I can make this all work because this theme uses woo-commerce which is daunting and I'm unsure what to do first and how.
I do art prints, illustrations, wall art/home decor and soon stationery and I want my blog to not only showcase that but just to show readers a little of who I am, what I like, my other hobbies or talents and so forth.
Thanks for this platform and for the posts. I am a novice and require a little hand-holding at times. So this is just what I need. Baby steps.

Hello Everyone --and a SPECIAL THANK YOU to Kelly for this team. I've done blog searches on Etsy several times but didn't find this one, until I reread a thread comment by Kelly in another team.
Anyway, I'm happy to be here and will be checking in very often. I have blogged off and on for over 2 years. But I had moved my blog from Wordpress.net/BlueHost to another site (Squarespace.com). B/c I had let my old domain name expire, I had serious problems moving the old file. I was able to get it but the required editing is such a pain, that I'm slowly just re-publishing each post.
I love to blog, just find the biggest issue is maintaining a schedule while I try to get my ecommerce website up--now that's another story reaching epic status (LOL)! Hopefully, this will be the magic week.
Blogging can be some work but it has great pay off!
I know what you mean running my photography, design, cart, blog... etsy.. ha ha!
I just did a site overhaul and have a bunch of old posts in draft to redo. Bah! lol I pick at them here and there and try to do current posts, the current post will trump the old ones so dont stress doing them all. :)
So happy to have found this team..I love to blog when I can, still alot to learn and cannot wait to take a look at your blogs. I have just switched my blog to a self hosted wordpress site, sometimes struggle with it but having fun.
