How to add a banner to tumblr blog

I am new to tumblr and I want to know how to add a banner to my blog? I have been trying and it has been really difficult. I have one of the free themes I really want to customize it to fit my shop. carleyscornerstudio.tumblr.com/

Does the theme have a logo upload area? Not all the free themes have one.

I have not seen a logo upload area. I researched the internet and messed with the html, but that did not work. My free theme is Asterism. Which ones are customizeable?

If you cant find the upload you cant without HTML changes in the code for that theme. You may want to try another theme or buy one. You can find good themes for $10-$25. :)
