So, for anyone who does paid / trade product features, it really doesn't encourage an etsy artist to pay you for advertising when you want to feature their best seller.
I constantly get approached to feature my rings, which is cool and all---but I don't NEED the marketing on that. It's like the blogger wants to piggyback off my already existing marketing, and I never get why I should be paying them to do that. (Why would I pay $$ to feature something on a small blog that I had featured in US weekly, etc...)
Anyone have thoughts on that?
I just think bloggers ought to seek out other items to feature. Frankly, I'd want to feature items that need to SEO boost more, not my better sellers.
As bloggers too, do you think it' s poor form to solicit advertising for specific items? I tend to promote my sponsorship page or do direct e-mail instead of looking for business of etsy artists through convo. (Isn't that spam on here anyhow?) The only time I do an etsy convo is when people were featured free as a heads up to them.
Thoughts?
