Frustrated...I'm I the only one?

I have read that a lot of you fellow Etsians are just as frustrated as I am. Maybe frustrated is too harsh of a word but I am not known for my patience...lol. I have only had one sale and that was to a friend. I spend hours going over my shop and reading all I can to improve it. I got only 14 views off of my last search ads. Please look at my shop and give me some advice and/or grant me some of your patience...

When i look at your shop i see cute items. Always iron your items. You also need a model for your capes. Your zebra striped shoes need to be right in the center of your photo. When i see them on my screen, they are only half on the page. Also I'm seeing the ribbons not the shoes. Your prices are good. My first sale took forever. And this month is really slow for me. I'm told, that once kids get back to school and the holidays are closer that sales get better.. Last year I opened by shop in october, so i dodged the summer lull. Good luck and keep adding items to your shop. This also gets your shop looked at more. Also rebember your key words. When in doubt ask your friends to describe what they see when they are looking at your items. baby shoes unisex zebra etc. happy summer

I enjoyed looking at your shop. You are talented. I too have not had any luck with a sale so I am no expert but thought you would like feedback non the less. I tried Etsy a while back and then stopped totally for a while and decided to give it another whirl. I especially like your dinosaur product and the booties. Very cute. I think your posting from Marybeth had some good points as I read it. From what I have read, this is supposed to be a slower time and I am hoping that the holidays will bring more for all. I have only been open for a little more than a month. I have had 250 views and some favorites but no sales. If you stop by my shop please let me know what you think and what I may not be doing right to get that illusive first sale.

I've been super frustrated too. I have made 4 sales but nothing in a few months. =/ I revamped what I did on my store but no bites. I hope I can get something soon!

It helps to more or less standardize the pictures: position, background, light, etc. Pictures do A LOT to capture the attention of visitors. I know it is the one area where I am most challenged to be continually improving.

I just opened my shop yesterday so definitely a novice, but Carrie, I love your aprons. I think aprons are really popular right now as is anything retro, so I would stick with the close up shots with just the white background.

Might put retro as a keyword. Hang in there!,

Rene, I have just joined the group.. I see you have 16 sales as of today..Go Girl!! I really like your banner. I read something about Branding. It suggested that we consider our sites color scheme when selecting backgrounds so the overall look would be united. Ok my turn. no sales yet. I need to work on the background thing I know but what else? Oh yes I like the little girls face in the picture. If poss. I would say not to cut her out but keep her in. She looks happy to wear your dress. Thanks
