Someone got my private email even etsy do not have, any idea how could they get it??

Hello,

I was contacted by online market place and they offered me to join them HOWEVER they saw my products on my etsy shop and they wrote me to my private email address even etsy do not have. I asked how they got my email and recived no answer. Is anyone here have an idea how this is possible? By the way I did not take the offer. Thanks you in advance.

Hello Manjit, they might have found your email address somewhere else. Maybe one day you gave this personal email address on another website, and this website sold your email address to another company. This happens all the time.

If you've ever sent an email from that address or posted online from that address, its not hard to find at all.

I have an email address that I use exclusively for immediate family and I've had all sorts of spam come through on it as well.

Thank you. This was an online market place web sit abd they found me by browsing etsy shops. They liked my jewelry and sent me an offer to post my products on their web site. My name on etsy is different from the name on my privat email account and etsy do not have the email address the other online market place sent the proposal to me. I just wander how they got my privat address. They would not tell me -:((
