Seeking Fundamental Tutorial Please!

Hullo everybody!

I'm still a little fuzzy on what SEO is (besides what the acronym stands for) but many people and forums are focused on getting your items to show up on Google. Could a more wizened seller gift me with a helpful link or tutorial. I'm a thirsty sponge, confused on where to find the water.

You may want to read my "SEO for Dummies" post. It will give you the basics so you have a base from which to build on.
