Hi altheredchick! You are "kind of" in the right place... post this to the Shop Specific Advice thread and Twinkly will take a look at your site.

Right off the bat I can tell you to get rid of the flash on your camera! Try taking your pics in more natural light and then use some photo editing software to adjust them. I use Picnik online... free and SO easy. You can even just use the AUTO correct and it will make a world of difference. Good luck! Looking forward to seeing your shop changes...

Re: New shop need lots of help!

Hi Altered Chick,
Because you said be gentle I'm picking up on a bit of what I felt when I was new (still am new-ish)
Etsy can be intimidating, in a good way. There are 1000's of shops for one thing and amazing pictures.
Try not to feel intimidated, you learn as you go.
I highly recommend buying some graphics from Etsy seller. I am not saying there is anything wrong with the etsy banner. I just want to point out there are people who sell one of a kind and custom banners, avatars, business cards etc.
Erin Bradley did mine. All I had to do was pick it from her shop, pay for it and she sent me everything by email.

One more thing, I think you've definetly got one thing going for you right off the bat, repurposing is valued by etsy customers and I am impressed by people like you who have a cohesive offering. (I stink at this, my stuff is all over the place)
Take care,

Sue

Thanks, now if I can figure out where you mean to post. I've tried with the natural light, not enough, Can't wait till spring. What are light boxes?

I'm 99% sure a light box is a set up to control the light. For ex, you can make one out of a box. Commercial ones are sold, its a cube of white fabric and you would place a light for optimum picture conditions. Google lightboxes or on ebay.
Have you tried taking pictures in natural light during the day (I think without flash)
