You're off to a good start! I'd recommend reading up on SEO for your titles and descriptions, since those are the best tools in getting people to your shop. For example, with the Vintage Ring in your shop I'd recommend describing it a bit more. What sort of stones are in it? What material is it made of? If it's vintage, how did you come across it? Lengthening your descriptions allows Google to use the words you have in searches. You might want to tweak your titles a bit as well. I also notice you're only using three tags in some of your listings! Make sure to put absolutely everything in that you can. Like for your button ring you have 'jewelry' 'adjustable' and 'ring'. I'd also add 'button ring' 'teal button ring' 'fashion' to start. Use all your tags! They're your bread and buttter.

Social networking is a great way to get noticed. Post your listings on facebook and twitter to get more page views. You never which one of your facebook friends has an etsy shop of their own or would be a potential buyer. I sold a print last week to a facebook friend. Etsy also has an app which makes a little etsy shop widget on your facebook page.

I would stick a link to your shop in your email signature so every email you send links to your shop.

Your items are really cute, so I would also spend some time adding additional listings.

Re: New Shop! how can I get my work noticed?

I'd suggest that first of all you complete the basic construction of your shop.... the infrastructure that holds it all together.

A good shop has a shop title, shop announcement, seller profile, shop policies and a location listed.

Right now, all you've got is a location.

If you don't have a good foundation, the business won't thrive. When you build a house, you don't start by putting the furnishings on the land. Rather you start with the foundation. The same thing with building an online business.

Once you've got those items in place, then its time to start adding items. I'd suggest that you add at least a full page of items to start before you even begin to do any marketing for the simple reason that you want your buyers to have a variety of items to select from.

Then continue to add new items on a regular basis so that your buyers keep finding fresh things that they just 'have to have' when they return.

Hey fellow starter - tell me about it - i am struggling myself! I am thinking - you need more listings! At least to fit the page - this looks more solid some how.
I would also try to make pictures on simple white paper and adjust the contrast. So far this worked best for me. May not be very romantic but looks bright and catchy.
Good luck to both of us! If you have time - have a look at my shopp and share feedbck - god i need it!

Hi Katie

You'll have a lot of fun working on your new shop!

I would think about brightening your photos and maybe re-photograph them on a plainer surface. I find myself looking at the cane the items are photographed on. Also ensure they're as sharp as you can get them. I usually take more than one so I have at least one good one.

When you do tags try to use one and two word tags that clearly describe your items in ways someone might type into the search bar.

Like the others say, definitely fill up your shop otherwise people will move on too quickly. All the best to you!
