I don't believe the is true - one of those urban Etsy myths. What Etsy said was put the most important words at the beginning of the title.

No. As long as your title states clearly what it is that you are selling it doesn't matter what the first three words are.

However, on Etsy if someone is looking at your shop in gallery view, its generally the first three words of the title that are seen.

Its much easier for a buyer to find what you are selling if the title is written for the human rather than the computer. After all, its a human that will be making the purchase!

I've also been learning about repeating important keywords in title, description, and tags that will likely be the search criteria. The more they are stated in the listing the more relevancy they have when searched for.
