how do i hold my shells in place while i drill holes in them

i need to drill lots of puka shells. they jump all over the room if i try to hold when with plyers. so i got a Dremel to start with, but it doesn't solve the problem with the shells jumping away. thank you for your suggestions you might have. aloha!

well, now i can answer my own question. someone suggested an icepick and a piece of plywood to lay the puka shell down on. it works fine!
