Can't get enough of #11 seed beads. No, I mean it. Every time I turn around, I'm pining for a new color or new finish. They are what I started with forty some years ago (crumby dime store beads) and forever my first love. They are versitile. I'm only now starting to expand into other sizes. Mosty #8's. Baby steps.

Heather - air dry clay is a great medium for petroglyphs. Google them and see what you think.

I love Swarovski beads, but I use glass beads instead because of the price. My favorite common bead is probably miracle or cat's eye bead.

I like Czech glass beads in general as they are better quality glass than those from China or India..IMO. They have more "life to them and are more regular in size.

I use mostly 15/0 seed beads, they make such a delicate texture. (Yes, my eyes are good- for now- and yes, I've been told I am crazy!)

I think the excitement is always in the mix of beads. I love shiny with matte, glass with gemstone, etc. I do have a great fondness for czech beads - they are so rich.

Glass beads and hammered brass is wonderful! So are rhinestone beads. Love the glass beads with details, and of course tiny glass seed beads are impossible to bead without! Hope that helped :)
