Bead Soup Trading

The intention in this thread is for members to post a mix of beads you would like to destash that works well together as a project for someone else to buy/trade for. The first time it is posted, it is "Bead Soup Starter Mix."

Once you buy/trade for a bead soup mix, you are encouraged to use some of it in one of your next projects. After you finish your project using the bead soup, replenish it with complementary beads/supplies you have on hand, and re-post it for sale here so it can find it's next happy home!

RULES- Please do not post more than 1-2 starter mixes. (You can post as many beads for sale as you like in the sales threads.) The intention of this thread is to keep the mixes moving along and growing.

When you come to re-post a bead soup mix for sale in here, let people know where you got it! I think it will be really interesting to find some bead soups that have been added to by many people!

HAVE FUN!

I'll definitely trade these for just about any mix of supplies you guys post, just to have something new/different to play with!

Re: Bead Soup Trading

Hello Megan, I'm interested in doing this too. At the moment I'm a little swamped. But I plan to come back to this. I noticed that your team doesn't get posted in my emails. I'm slays going to those and see what's happening. How can I get yours coming to my in box. Deanna

Re: Bead Soup Trading

Hi Deanna,

Welcome to the team! I haven't really sent any emails out yet... But as far as I know, none of the other teams I've been in has sent out emails either (that I've seen?)

I was hoping this team would be a little more active, but it looks like it's on the back burner a bit for most people. =). I'm usually a bit of a Chatty Cathy so if we can get one or two other people talking a bit, maybe it will take off a bit more.

In one of my other teams, we are setting up a round robin supply swap, without so much of the trading for monies. If anyone is interested in doing something like that (as opposed to the direct trading) please let me know and we can get something like that set up in here too!

Otherwise, I think the direct swaps are a good idea if we can't get enough volunteers interested in a general round robin thing. Just let me know what you all want to do and hopefully we can ramp it up a bit!

Re: Bead Soup Trading

Not sure if I should get involved in this or not. I can start out some sets, but wouldn't be using them myself as I need larger numbers of beads for my rosaries. So it wouldn't really be "round robin".
