Hello and thank you for the invitation! My name is Jamie. I'm from Franklinville, NJ (USA). I'm a single mother who runs my own business. I have a shop here on etsy, as well as a website www.jamieshandmadetreasures.com and am featured on some other sites. I create one of a kind handmade jewelry, gift baskets, small gift items, a full line of wedding accessories and also do wedding and event planning. In addition to this I offer some jewelry shopping services as well. I started my business in August of 2005. Up until about 3 years ago I've always worked another full time job as well. When I was 7 months pregnant with my daughter I went into my employer at the time to hand in my paperwork for maternity leave. Upon doing so they said my services were no longer needed. I had been an emergency dispatcher for 3 years. So I decided I would take some time off from everything and enjoy time with my daughter. She just turned two and now I'm back with my business full time. I just recently reopened my etsy shop. I have tons of items made but still trying to get them all added online. I also take custom orders and have decided to offer layaway on here as well. I look forward to talking with you all :-)

Hello everyone, Thankyou for the invite to join the group ... what a wonderfully creative bunch of people! I was born in the UK but have lived in Canada for the last 10 years ... in beautiful B.C. I love to paint, draw, sew and knit. I currently produce alot of 'textile' art ... playing with different fabrics to produce miniature fabric landscapes which I turn into cards or mount and frame. I also sell bookmarks and purses. My daughter shares our Etsy shop ... she produces 'Anime' artwork.

Some of you may be thinking of that kids drawing toy---but my drawings are much, much larger, some are five feet wide. Many of the drawings in my Etsy shop are studies for much larger pieces. Hello to all! I weave baskets from splint reed using mainly my own designs and patterns. Since I don't use molds or forms - each basket is unique. The majority of work I do is custom baskets created to meet someone's particular need or space.
