Yes, thank you for the invite. I'm a retired graphic designer who started painting Birdhouses before retirement. That let to any surface.

A camera fan since 5, I have a massive collection of photos I'm slowly working through. Painting was always an interest put on hold most of my life. I took up oils and then ventured into fine art acrylics.

I am Alan. I make wooden items. Mostly useful for the home or office. I scrounge for wood waste and reclaimed trees for my stock. I also use some exotic hardwoods because they are among the most beautiful. Wood grain is my palette, so I rarely use any dyes or stains.

I am a retired graphic designer who has loved painting my whole life. In fact I finally saw the Van Gogn Museum this month after seeing his paintings for weeks as a 5th grader taking art class in Portland, OR.

I started with Pennsylvania Dutch designs on birdhouses, started formal oil painting classes, went to the Las Vegas Painting Convention several times and missed my chance to teach there when my back went out this year.

So I am a fine art painter moving more and more into acrylics from oils and a inventive craft painter of Birdhouses, trays, plates, boxes and more in a variety of styles. I invite you to check my store out.
