Morning, boys and girls :)

As you know, the vision of our shop is one of the most important things that will make customers stay there.
So, how to make our shops look better to the customers?

1. Banner - make it looks beautiful and bright. Type your shop's name on it at least. Its quality is very important - I've seen wonderful shops with awful banners. It's the first place where customers' eyes stop!

2. Pictures - there are millions posts about items pictures.
The essence is:

- White, light gray and beige BACKGROUND give us more chance for Treasuries and (why not) the Front Page!

- Items must be ON FOCUS

- Try to photograph your product in the way that shows its best!
Use macro if your items are small!

I just used the natural light from the window. All my windows face north, and in the winter we get NO direct sunlight. I also used what I had on hand (cloth instead of insulation for example) .

Absulutely true!
We can all make amazing pictures at home using natural soft light and trying to focus on our object.
Composition is also very important in cases like yours, Karen!
I like the composiion on the second photo very much!

Part of me wants to go through and take all new pictures, but that is a lot of work, and I have a feeling that if I work on it just a little every day, that what I am doing today, is not what I will be doing tomorrow.

That said, I do have some pictures that I am going to update.

My thoughts are yes, many items is great number, but at the same time. I think you need a theme... If you go in too many different directions, it'll make you look scattered.

I'd love to know what others think.

Absolutely true, Karen, more items mean more chances to be seen.
Having theme that people like is one of the best directions.

For me, that's not possible - I need different temptations every day and that makes me happy. I hope everyone will find something for himself!

TITLES & TAGS:
They are very important and all of us must pay time to write the titles and tags of our shops in the best way.
That will help customers find your products.
Descriptive titles are the best - let the customers understand what you are offering to them!

You must type various keywords and keyword combinations that buyers might use when looking for an item like yours.
You must repeat the most important keyword frases in both your item title and item tags.

The best way to found out which keywords are worth anything is to research the keywords on Google Adwords: adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal?forceLegacy=true

Google will tell you which keywords are popular for searches on Google. People do tend to use the same keywords over and over again all over the internet.

Google will also offer more keyword suggestions that often are very good to use.

So, look at your tags and titles carefully.

Don't hesitate to experiment until you reach perfection!

How often do you re-list your items?

I don't do that, Karen.
On my opinion, it doesn't have any sense .
Paying 0.20$ for nothing is not reasonable I think.
I do re-listing only of expired or sold items.

I don't like the BNR/ BNS system also, may be I just can not undersand it.
If someone is doing that and it works, please, explain!

I think promotion is the best way to get noticed!
Getting more views and favourites gives you the chance to gat a place on the front page, to be included in treasuries and to reach front position in searches.

Look at my posts about pictures, titles and tags!
A little photoshop can do wonders!
Try using white, grey or beige background and no lighting!!!
The banner is also very important.
I like your cats, but I think it's a little bit dark.
You need something more tender, artistic and eyecatching!

I got no sales recently too. That's normal, I think. Just don't give up!
Promote, add new items and success will come!

Although there is only one captain, a team can have multiple leaders. Captains can appoint selected team members as leaders to help with various team administration tasks. These responsibilities may be any of the following:
•Approve membership applications
•Remove members
•Invite members to open or moderated teams
•Moderate discussion forum

A team can have any number of leaders. The exact breakdown of who does what is decided by the captain, who is the ultimate arbiter in administrative decisions.

That's what Etsy says for leaders ;)
