Hello, I started making soaps after working at the local hospital. I washed my hands incessantly. Needless to say, they were in bad shape. Cracking and bleeding. Even though I had to use their soap while I was there, just using my soaps at home really improved my hands.

Even if you don't buy from me, I would encourage you to buy homemade soap. Especially if you are having any issues with your skin.

I tried selling on Etsy a few years ago, I didn't know what I was doing, and was working 60+ hours at the hospital, I got no where fast. And my store had been dormant. Now I'm not working, and have more time to put in.

Hi there, I started making arts and crafts as far back as I can remember. I am almost always working on something and I love it. I love to work with my own hands to make unique and beautiful items that I can share with and sell to others.
I started out making gifts and personal items when I was a child and it quickly grew from that when I was in high school to selling some of my things at local craft shows and now I am trying to grow my own business.

Have you ever thought about shipping worldwide? You can use regular mail at very low prices and this will give you an unlimited market.
Give the world the option to try your products and I am sure you will be very pleased with the result!

Hi, I've been an educator, writer and antiques dealer for many years. I've made jewelry for my brick and mortor shops and have been mildly successful. I made wire dancer necklaces which sat for a while until one person bought them all. Now I'm repurposing old items with new to create unique jewelry. (I hope) I felt I needed a wider audience for my stuff so I joined Etsy recently. No sales yet!! If you have any suggestions, I'd be grateful. Thanks, kathy

Hello There,

I joined etsy once I decided that I wanted to make a living off of my art . I'm a visionary artist and I let my soul paint for me. My entire process is intuitive. I never sketch before a painting. It just happens the way it does. I don't try to control the result of my painting and the whole process is very spiritual for me. My inspiration is mother earth!

Just as Seema above I joined Etsy to make a living out of my art. I absolutely love doing it and I feel like there is something right with the world when I am working with my hands. I currently work a cubicle job that I HATE. I've been really really down in the dumps lately. I don't want to live my life the way its been going. My dream would be to save money for the next year and then buy an RV with some of my friends and travel the country for a year. I can take my artwork with my and spend my life doing the things that I love and that I'm meant to do. The marketing part is proving difficult though. I'm not real sure what I'm doing wrong, so I decided to venture out to the teams. Try to actually get this thing going! :) I do have a question. I thought a big part of teams are doing treasuries but when I searched for bestsellerteam. . . . any a hand full of items came up. Is this team not very active in treasuries or did I do something wrong?

I love Etsy, but unfortunately also need a full-time job for living - I am a car dealer, so my time here is limited. In the evenings, I love to have fun with my family and my little daughter. So, I am not the best team captain, that's why here are no rules and limits. This team is to help each other become better sellers in a friendly, natural way!
So, if you have time, love other members' shops and items, make treasuries with Bestsellersteam tags, but most important - make friends, fun and art!

Hello to all !!

My name is Monica and I LOVE to draw since I was a little girl :)
I work most with ink, pen, watercolour and pencils. I start to have to many draws at home, hide on my cases so why not sell them and spread colour ?!
I just quite my boring work this week and now I finally can be an full-time artist, thanks to Etsy and all the people involved. The support for the handmade artworks is amazing !
