SOMETHINGMONUMENTAL -- I've never used Twitter, either personally or professionally, so I don't really understand the concept. I'd love it if you could explain the benefits of it to me. I'm just now starting to see the benefits of an FB page, so I'm kind of slow on these things!

tyvm - basically it's like an electronic bulletin board where you stick snippets of information. I use it both socially and for my etsy shop. It's a good way to promote any new items or sales you might be having and to get feedback from prospective customers about what they like. Also a good way to meet suppliers of beads etc if you sell jewellery like I do.

I just read that you can set up your facebook page so that when you post there, you automatically post on Twitter, too? Does anybody do that? I'm seriously considering becoming a Twitterer!

tyvm: Webwych is right. I've only been on there a few days, and I've noticed that I get double and sometimes triple the views I normally get. Information is quick, compact, and easy to share.

DOGonmylapDESIGN: I do it now. It posts to my profile and page. It's great!

I'm a twitter newbie....I haven't even tweeted yet, but I signed up because Facebook and Twitter are making it easier to chat with everyone simultaneously....as soon as I figure out how to do that, I'll be tweeting like crazy! I've been on a two month hiatus and I'm very excited to be back!

On twitter, I'm DragonsMoon.
A neat tool I found for twitter ( and works on a few other social sites ) is Twitterfeed. I plug in my shop and my blog to twitterfeed and every time I have a new listing ( or renew ), or make a new entry to my blog, it automatically posts to twitter ( and my fan page on facebook ).
