I have a customer how asked about a price break on purchasing a quantity of an item. How do I adjust her bill to reflect this price break? It would be just a one time discount for this customer only. Renee
Put a check/cash in an envelope inside your packaging. I am just trying to eliminate any fancy computer-etsy mind boggling, time wasting disaster. Then noone will know that you sold at a lower cost. Maybe I am being too simplistic. It all depends on what your customer would accept. ... or you could lower your price on your etsy listing for one day until the transaction took place and then raise it back up again the next day. The simplest solution is always the best. Maybe someone else from the group that has actually sold something on etsy has a better solution.
Or, just quickly set up a custom listing with her name on it. Let her know what you are doing in advance, then notify her when it goes live so she can purchase it right away. That's how I did it when I was painting wine glasses, and sold multiples at a reduced price ea.
