New member. (Shy hand wave). Hi everyone. I am new to etsy too. I paint in oils. I actually haven't painted in probably 20 years. I took some classes back before my first son was born. He turns 20 in November. But recently, I had someone over to my house and saw some of my paintings, and went crazy over them. She encouraged me to start painting again. Problem was that after 20 years, I has no idea where my supplies were. So I turned my house upside down searching for my old paints and brushes. Looked everywhere, and couldn't find them. Well, I finally gave up and went out and picked up a few brushes. I was going to pick up some paint the next weekend, but first, decided to check that one box in the back of my closet. You know the one... Covered with all the clothes that don't fit any more? Well, low and behold, there they were. So I took my supplies and decided to start painting again. I know I am rusty, but it is coming back to me and I love it.
And part od the story, I went back to my friend that encouraged me to start again, and she encouraged me to try to sell some of my stuff. We all need a friend so encouraging, don't we? So I came across etsy, and here I am. I am not here to make a million bucks, just to see if my stuff sells. If it does, great. I am just enjoying the outlet now.
