Rachel, Sheri's right. Don't toss out the severely damaged ones!! Surely parts are salvageable, just finish tearing out a great focal point, or other beautiful part of the painting, then mount it on a new smaller canvas. Wa-Laa! New Art!! Heck, I do that on purpose! Like this one:

An awful wind storm at an outdoor event. Lots of damage, but thankfully no one injured.

Yup... a windstorm that blew over even the most properly weighted of tents, lol! Interesting that my winter landscape paintings seemed to take the brunt... perhaps nature is tired of winter, too! See ya'll soon... I'm well on my way to getting pieces back up!
