Let's get some ideas
Maybe it would be good to keep our paintings of a single item (animal, flower, tree etc.) or still life of no more then 3 items.
It will be fun to see how different our paintings will be
I mentioned about painting a single rose......I have photos of single rose buds and will choose one to send to everyone if a rose is chosen. If your idea is chosen by the participants then you must send the photo to all of us.
So I'll start the suggestions and if you like the idea then add your vote to the number in the ( ).
If you have an idea then put your idea as #2 and after your idea put (1) since you are voting for you idea....ideas not chosen can be used for our next challenge. Make sure you copy & paste the list with your vote or your idea.

Nora I see above that you have already started a treasury for this challenge--so sorry, i didn't mean to step on your toes!

I seem to have a lot more time on my hands than you do, however, so would you mind if I went first with mine? Wouldn't hurt to have two out there, since we are all probably in different circles anyways.

SK . . . No problem about multiple treasuries . . . Remember that you are not supposed to feature your own item . . . Etsy rules . . . Though I have done it previously with our art challenge because there were only 4 pictures and I needed to fill the top line . . . Anyway I was delighted to be feature . . Still catching up on the postings above and will comment when I have read them all. Am loving all the fruit/veg pics I've seen . . . Well done folks

Re getting more people to take up the challenges. . . Perhaps we are being too restrictive in our topics . . . Though I find it great fun and I enjoy a variety of subjects . . . Perhaps we could consider subjects something like monochrome, opposites, hot, cold, silhouette, symmetry etc . . . This may attract a broader section of our team members (including some male members) . . . What do others think?

It's a great treasury Nora. Thanks! I always feature my own work in my treasuries--the rule about not featuring your own work is just if you want to make it to the front page. I've long since given up on trying to make the front page, so I have no problem self-promoting through treasuries (I've made plenty in the past that did not feature my own work.) .

If anyone wants to add something to the list, now is the time.
According to this list # 6 would be our next painting, a single feather.
We will decide for sure the 26 th of February in case some one wants to add a new suggestion.

Thanks Trish. Yes I am joining the march challenge. I also said on the new march discussion that we should include a bear painting in the list of ideas too.
