Anyone checked out this website?

I heard about a new website (new to me anyway) called ARTtwo50.com

Another online venue to sell paintings, but with a twist... Every painting is priced $250.00.

I know for some artists this would be their smaller paintings, but for me it would be medium to large sized paintings. I'm going to check it out further. Post your opinions if you've heard of it, or have used it, or are currently ON it!!

All input is appreciated!

Re: Anyone checked out this website?

It looks like a fairly new site, but one with some potential. The fact that they only have an I-Pad app and Pinterest for buyers to access the work seems rather limiting. Since it doesn't have an actual web presence, it is hard to check what their actual traffic is.

It also looks like sellers are limited to ten paintings at a time and there are no options if you need to go on "vacation." It also appears that there is no charge for listing your work. Supposedly the seller gets 20 percent of the selling price ($200.00) and the company covers shipping.

If anyone is selling on the site, I'd love to hear the opinions of an actual seller. Also if anyone discovers more information or actually joins, I'd love to hear about that, too. I'm always looking for new selling options.

Re: Anyone checked out this website?

Me too Nancy!! I'm going to check into it further. But, I kind of like that it limits the listings, and for I-pad and Pinterest users.

Re: Anyone checked out this website?

Thank you Trish for posting this site. I found this interesting in the FAQ

Why do you not use Paypal?
While PayPal may be a viable route for e-commerce, we have found that our buyers prefer to pay with major credit card when purchasing on an iPad. We don’t offer PayPal at this time, because of our concerns it will divert our buyers from the simple, seamless act of purchasing original art. This means no jumping back and forth from website to website! Bottom Line - our partnership with Balanced provides the most SECURE and EASY to run this platform that protects our #1 asset – our Artists – and their customers.

There is more to learn about this site. Thanks.

*********** I question if I'm getting even 20% these days?************

Re: Anyone checked out this website?

I LIKE the site's simplicity. And, their dedication to making Original Art affordable, and easy to purchase.

Sheri,, there is more to learn about, but I like what I'm learning so far.

Re: Anyone checked out this website?

It looks like there is no charge other than the commission when something sells. Am I correct?

Re: Anyone checked out this website?

I signed up and uploaded a couple of abstract paintings--something I haven't tried selling here on Etsy. I'll let you know if I have any success.
