Re: Welcome! (Newcomers introduce yourself here)

Hi! I create high contrast paintings for babies. I started doing them for friends with newborns, and they liked them so much, I thought I'd try my hand at selling them here. Business has been... slow. Haha! But I keep painting, because what else can you do?
Any advice is very much welcome.
Thanks!

Re: Welcome! (Newcomers introduce yourself here)

Hi, I love being an Artist, my favorite is Clay Sculpture. I started living my new life on Etsy about 18 months ago. My world got turned upside down, so like any good Bartender (retired) knows, when life gives you lemons...add vodka, a splash of Orange Curacao, shake vigorously with ice, strain into shot glass and slam that baby down! I'm working on being optimistic everyday, wish I had more drive to do my Pottery but, I've got caught up in the promotion side of making a Brand! Enter umeone, my husband and I started using the name in 2004 on Tiki Central and Ebay. So I figured it already had a start. I've got a Kiln that's about 30 years old and needs overhauling (is there a show for that?) and a wheel that may be from the 60's. Ah but, I have a lovely Lady that I Kiln Share with, Karen from CraftybyNature. I'm honored to be part of this new Team and look forward to getting to know you.
Cheers,
Linda

Re: Welcome! (Newcomers introduce yourself here)

Hi, my shop is about unique handpainted t shirts. I´d love to make my life from this, and I am trying to paint on different clothes and also starting to sew a few bags.
My objetive is to find very good quality textiles to combine sewing and painting, but still is too expensive for me.
I think my goal is to make unique garments with a simbolic touch.

Re: Welcome! (Newcomers introduce yourself here)

Hello, I am an art, vintage and lifestyle blogger who is also a budding freelance illustrator with only one semester left of college (majoring in illustration).

I have always love art and I decided to turn my old craft etsy shop into an art etsy shop about a month ago. Now my etsy is dedicated to whatever I can make with my art, mainly prints and originals although I plan to branch out very soon.

I'm still working on finding myself completely as an artist but now that I am a little bit more confident in my skills I was hoping that I could make a profit doing what I love. So far its been slow, but it is only the beginning (well if you don't count the first time I opened my etsy since It was focused on craft stuff)

xoxo,
Avo

Re: Welcome! (Newcomers introduce yourself here)

Greetings! My name is Sara and I have been making jewelry for quite a few years now. I recently started embellishing sweaters that I find on my thrift store adventures. I haven't listed any of my sweaters yet but I plan on cranking a few out closer to this fall. I am very excited to be a part of this community. Sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming trying to figure out how to create on online presence and how to start showing up in search results. This will be a slow process but I look forward to the growth.

Hi, my name is Natasha, I run a one person self employed business from home creating from scratch Flowers from Polymer Clay (Synthetic Clay) that I then incorporate into my own designs of not only Jewellery & Hair Accessories for all occassions but also Houseware Gift ideas, Handsewn Flower Bags and embellished flower clothing

Inbetween running my business of which I really enjoy due to the beauty of flowers which are what relaxes me, I love to capture the beauty of natural nature within my creations. I have 2 boys, 1 being a toddler and the other a Tean

My ambition is to succeed one day in running my own business, which I know is a very long stretch but I remain hopeful

Re: Welcome! (Newcomers introduce yourself here)

Hi, thank you for inviting me to join your team! I'm Mary from Melbourne, Australia and have always loved art; drawing, sketching, painting and using my imagination.
I love to create fun and colourful artwork mainly featuring girls in various settings, using acrylic paints on canvas.
My work is reminiscent of Europe, travel and the beach with a vintage/retro feel.
I am inspired by places I have visited, vintage fashion and old movies.
Some of my paintings remind me of family or friends and I often imagine a story behind them.
I have recently added cards to my Etsy shop where you can also find my paintings and prints, and am hoping for more sales.

Thanks again.
Best wishes, Mary

Re: Welcome! (Newcomers introduce yourself here)

Hi! I'm a highschooler looking to go into art school... Because being a teenager makes it hard to get a job, I decided to put my talent to work and sell mixed media collages. I only have a few minis up so far but am hoping to branch out and sell whatever doesn't make it into my senior portfolio! Because I'm really new here, whatever marketing advice you guys might have would be really great! Thanks!!

Re: Welcome! (Newcomers introduce yourself here)

Hi everyone and thanks for the invite! I'm Janine, from NY State, wife, mother of two beautiful girls and grandmother of two beautiful babies. Selling on etsy is my full time business.

In this, my eco friendly, handmade shop, I create decorations for weddings, holidays and home decor, as well as mixed media art. Although this shop is new (opened in April with 17 sales to date), I am not new to etsy. I sell vintage in my other shop and believe what I've learned there has helped me sell here. I love to make things using new and vintage recycled materials.

I believe to be successful here you need to work hard and daily on filling your shop, promoting yourself & others, having great pics and great customer service. It helps with exposure to participate in team activities and forum discussions. My goal for this year is to have 100 sales in my new shop. Thanks in advance for visiting both my shops.

Re: Welcome! (Newcomers introduce yourself here)

Hi! Thanks for inviting me to this team! I have been with ETSY for a couple of years now and find that there is always something more to learn when it comes to promoting art forms of all styles. I make handmade jewelry mostly with gemstones some with glass and I have been tinkering with porcelain of late. I love what I do and have been happy with the success I've received from ETSY albeit moderately so. I hope to grown from being a member of this team. Good Luck to everyone on this team, may we all grow through success!

Re: Welcome! (Newcomers introduce yourself here)

Hello. Thanks for the invitation to join! I like to use paint and mixed media for whatever takes my fancy, but mainly I do three dimensional things like boxes, candlesticks, etc.

My forte is in taking the traditional and adding a whimiscal or unique twist.
