Hi all! I love making items of all kinds and for me everything has a deeper meaning and interpretation to it. I am an archaeologist and that really effects how I view the world and my items and I enjoy making items that reflect a broader world perspective. If you ever want to geek out with me about past cultures or anything that isn't Math I love talking nerdy.

I really enjoy trading with others and getting fair prices and deals for things that you love. Trade has been a form of exchange of goods that was used until the ancient Lydians developed it in the 7th century B.C.

Thank you for your invitation. I opened an Esty store originally to send people in Uganda much needed clothing. But that was a lost cause, since with my earnings I only can afford to send them a postcard, not even a T-shirt. Only 10 sales in 2 months.
But I enjoy meeting people on Etsy and now working on patterns for Bible characters, which even children can make themselves to gain skills and have real cool entertainment, which might even lead to a happy life, like my family enjoys.
I love every form of giving, bartering, sharing, because that is truly Christ-like.
Looking forward to be part of a team lead by a Wiccan, though I would never change my affiliation of masters.- Mine is too cool.
I love every form of creativity, don't wear jewelry and like I said before: Enjoy helping and meeting people.

Welcome! You sound like a wonderful and giving person. 10 sales in two months is fairly good. A lot of people won't get a sale for a while so there is still hope. I sent some items to kids in Ghana in high school but most of my resent volunteer work and donations have been to cat rescues.

Hi all! I'm Sara. I'm a Psychobilly kinda gal! Too dark to be just plain 'ol Rockabilly. Halloween is a way of life for me and my family. I'm a girly girl, makeup, shoes, bags, jewelry. I love pin up girl style but with a horror twist, coffins, skulls, bats, zombies and old school monsters!

My shop is full of a little bit of everything. I enjoy making jewelry and pin up girl/rockabilly/psychobilly type accessories but my passion is art.

Thanks for the invite, I've never traded the jewelry I make for anything before though I do give it away mostly to friends at church, but I always say there's a first time for everything. And quite frankly I think bartering is a great thing if you're like me and don't have a steady income and have a need, or want you may not be able to afford to purchase. So about me, I am a self taught jewelry maker who loves all kinds of art. Mom got me started in crafts at an early age and she is the inspiration for my opening a shop and selling jewelry.
For Patterstriedandtrue, don't be discouraged at all 10 sales in a couple of months is good, I've been on since April 2011 (though my store says Dec '11 because of the name change) and only have 5 sales to date. I'm not discouraged, I know that this is how God has planned it for me, a slow start and a powerful run it's just not my time to shine yet, so I'll keep waiting and doing what I do trusting the sales will come.
Anyway, I'm glad to be able to find another outlet to promote my jewelry and all you other well deserving Etsy Artists.
An interesting fact about me is that I am starting a clothes closet charity and going to give away a jewelry item from my "Bargain Basement" designs to every woman who participates. And I also donate an item to the Relay for Life Campaign auction of my local American Cancer Society office.

@ghastlygoverness I used to have a very similar fashion to you. My college has muted that a bit because it is hard to have everyone stare at you like a freak everyday. I just save it now for fun time to freak out my fellow classmates.

@simplykaties I started doing crafts when I was young with my mom too. I think it is a lot more fun to make things yourself when you can. I know I appreciate things more because of it. I hope you start getting a lot of sales cause your stuff is really nice!
And it is great that you do lots of charity work! Helping others is my favorite way to gain peace and happiness.

I'm Lizzie and my shop is Prilly Things, so named when my young daughter tried to pronounce 'pretty' and well it came out 'prilly' and just stuck.

I started jewelry fabrication with sterling silver, metal clay, silver wire, gemstones etc. but found it was simply too expensive for others to buy and then me to make.
I have been beading things since I was a kid, I beaded my own wedding dress and added at least 3 pounds to it! I just kept on beading and here I am.
I am a medically retired (back blew out) social worker and now stay home with my lil' daughter.

I'm really trade-friendly, especially with the product photos - I love exchanging modeled (and non-modeled) pics for the items I photograph. :)
