Oh My Oh My Alice Carpenter! What can I say but BRAVO! I swear to you I had tears in my eyes looking at your beautiful images. They have something of a quality of the old masters about them. Such seemingly simple objects, but within each simple shape, each object contains a world of beauty and the appreciative eye can linger here and there all around that small world, appreciating your masterful way of capturing form, volume, reflective light, and color. One thing that I especially appreciate are edges. Your edges merge and melt with the background, avoiding that dreaded "pasted on" look--just one flawlessly flowing sense of oneness and harmony.
My big favorite are the cherry tomatoes. And the plums. You must also be a fellow gardener. You have captured the soul and sacred essence of each subject. No matter how humble, as in the turnip, under your attention, it becomes and exalted star. I also liked your little commentary in your descriptions.
