Hi everyone!

I'm new to this team. Love the idea of getting and giving critiques, helping others and myself grow.....but kinda shaking in my boots. Not sure if I'm supposed to just list one item or ask for a critique of the whole shop, so I'll just assume it's a whole shop critique.

Hi Alexis--What a wonderful, whacky, warped collection of slightly eerie, Tim Burton-esque images! I mean this in a good way! Totally unique. Somehow, even your work that is not supposed to be edgy, still seems a slight bit sinister--as in your little bunny boy painting. I think it is fantastic, and very interesting. You seem to weave an enchanted spell on your subject that somehow seems to make it appear a little left of center--it makes me feel just a bit deliciously frightened.
Kind of like those Victorian baby dolls with the kinda scary eyes that seem to follow you around the room. Again--I mean this in a good way--highest praise for being able to accomplish that! I think your work would be highly collectable--are you represented by a gallery or other venues outside of Etsy?

I also think your works are very interesting, especially the art dolls! Everything what Sally said is true, I would just add, that if I were you I would focus on getting better photography for your items- some of images are good, and some are of different level ( like in Faux Taxidermy Fox Skull, the last images with the added background) so I would try to post only good images, it gives much more professional impression.

Sally - You especially encouraged me because you seemed to "get" exactly my aesthetic. To answer your question, I have been in galleries and as a vendor at art shows (which has been the best way to sell my stuff). My sales on Etsy have been better this year but still nowhere near what I would like or think they should be.

Lina - Thank you also for your words! I agree that my photos are not great. The better ones where done for me by a friends who moved away. She was very talented. The bad ones are by me. I have a good camera and I'm learning more and more but, I'll never be where she is. I did not put any backgrounds on my images though, the fox one is just hung on the pink stucco exterior of my house.
