First ever Pet Portrait

Hi all! This is my first attempt at a pet portrait (yeah thought I would join the band wagon) It's also my first attempt at pastels. I would love your opinions on this. Side note, the next one I do will be on the smooth side of the paper, I'm not crazy about the texture.
