Hi Danielle and welcome! This piece reminds me of a Zen Tangle--for those of you who are not familiar with this term, do a Google search. Try it, and you may become addicted!
I really like your pen and ink elements set on a nice watercolor wash background. I do think the piece needs a little something in that big empty space, however. My eye keeps traveling there looking for something. I would keep your element smallish however, as it would make a nice juxtaposition against the larger developed area.
I am interested to hear what others say.

Hey Danielle! I totally agree with Sally Tia on this!! Maybe if you brought up the, what I perceive as smoke coming out of the buildings,(?) Just a little to fill the void??

Big thing I noticed though is the difference between your two picture slots on this. The first one does not do the color justice at all, when I clicked on the second one I thought, wow! Try working with one of the many free photo editing programs (do a search in the forums, they recommend a lot) I scan my paintings then I still have to photo shop them to get the colors and light balance I want.

Danielle i love your painting and I also love the empty space, it's very nice. Dali used empty space really well, sometimes.
