I think it would have looked better without the paint can (?) rings and random waffle lines. Something more organic and subdued would have complimented the overall scheme better. Maybe making a ring using something like a rose, celery base, feather? Or use the same tools and use tea stain instead of paint? I get the need to pull it together and fill in the spaces, but the placement of the rings and lines distracts a bit. Other than that, it is really beautiful! I love the color shades and how the flower blends with the veins.
