Hello! My family and I will be relocating to AZ in the near future from Michigan. We don't know a sole in AZ so it's kinda scary but also exciting. I am hoping to meet people in the Phoenix area and surrounding cities. My favorite craft is crocheting and designing my own patterns. Hello Judy from Michigan. I also moved far away from my home. I now live in Yuma, AZ. About 4 hours to the left of Phoenix. Try to see the Tonto forest, NE from Phx. Flagstaff, N of Phx, got snow this year! AZ is a wonderful and strange place. You get used to no grass in the yard. Good luck to you! :)

Hi, Judy from Michigan. I moved to Arizona about 7 years ago from Virginia. It was quite a change. I never thought I could leave "green." But the Sonoran Desert has enchanted me and I am still loving it. I live just south of Tucson in Vail, AZ, at the foot of the Santa Rita Mountains. We had snow here a couple days ago (quite beautiful) but it doesn't stick around. The summers are not as hot as many folks might have you believe--the monsoon storms in late June through September usually cool things down. The hottest months are May and the first half of June. The most beautiful month, in my opinion, is April, when the desert sparkles with wildflowers particularly after a wet winter. This Spring should be stunning! Arizona is full of beauty, adventure, and outdoor activities. Welcome to my adopted State. I wish you well.
