Hi,
I usually pin the garment out, then turn my iron onto the hottest setting with the steam function. I then steam the garment without actually touching the iron onto the garment as you don't want your work to melt or be ruined. This i believe is called 'killing yarn' and works best with yarn that has an acrylic component but it also work well with wool. I then let the garment cool down and dry out before unpinning.
