Here in Brooklyn, we’re still digging out from the big weekend snowstorm. I hope you all stayed safe and warm, no matter where you live.
Last week, we were thrilled to announce the members of our 2016 Seller Advisory Board! Since we announced the creation of the board in October, we received more than 600 applications from sellers. Thanks so much to all of you who took the time to apply. A team of Admin reviewed the applications and chose 15 sellers based on their commitment to Etsy as a whole and the different business perspectives they can provide. Board members will also gather feedback from more than 200 sellers who were invited to enjoy subcommittees. Last week, we also introduced the ability to upload a video to your shop’s About page. It’s been great to see some of the great videos that sellers have uploaded so far, and I hope that you’ll find this to be another way to create personal connections with shoppers. We also announced our most recent round of quarterly category updates. Based on your suggestions, we made some small changes, including the addition of two new subcategories under Weddings.
