Updated 5/31: Star Seller Updates

Hello everyone, 

With the new year on the horizon, we want to make sure you have all of the information that you need to continue your journey to becoming (or staying!) a Star Seller. We’re excited to share two updates with you:

Download your messages and shipping stats

You told us you want more details about your Star Seller stats, so we’ve made it easier to take a closer look. You can now download a ZIP file that contains two CSV files: one for your messages and one for orders you’ve shipped. From there, you’ll be able to see whether you responded to messages within 24 hours and which orders met the criteria for on-time shipping. 

If you want to download this data, here’s how: 

1. Go to your Star Seller dashboard: https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/me/star-seller
2. In the top right corner of your dashboard, select “Download message & order history.”   

Don’t see the “Download message & order history” option? You may not have data for both the message and shipping stats. To download the criteria where you do have data (either messages or shipping stats), click on the overlay for that stat and download a file from there.

Improved made-to-order digital item listing process

Hi, all! We’ve rolled out changes that make the process of listing, keeping track of, and delivering made-to-order digital items much smoother. Previously, some sellers listed made-to-order digital items as physical items, making them ineligible for Star Seller because shipping scores depend on tracking. With this new process, converting your listings from physical items to made-to-order digital items can help you earn your Star Seller badge. Test: Individual Badges

Hi, all! 

The team is always looking for ways to highlight all of the great things you’re doing to make Etsy the one of a kind marketplace that it is. So, starting today, sellers can earn individual badges for customer experience when it comes to on-time shipping, quick responses, and 5-star reviews, even if they aren’t a “Star Seller”. 

We’ll be testing these badges with shoppers over the next few weeks before we decide if we should introduce them to all buyers and sellers. You can learn more about this experiment in our Site Update here.

Launch: Individual Badges

Hi, all! 

Following up on the experiment details mentioned above. We’re excited to announce that individual badges for on-time shipping, quick responses, and 5-star reviews on your Shop Home page are fully launched and will be visible by all shoppers!

Today we’re excited to announce some changes to the program based on your feedback. They’re designed to address key pain points and make Star Seller more achievable for sellers who provide excellent customer service. What’s changing: 

1. Simplifying how we calculate the ratings criteria
2. Reducing the number of Message threads that require a response
3. Lowering the order minimum for Star Seller
